Govia Thameslink Railway TVMs

Taylor Technology Systems was awarded the Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) enabling works project by Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), as part of its obligation to install new TVMs across the GTR network by September 2016. This involved the design, install and commission of minor civils, power, data and CCTV works at GTR stations.

Detailed site surveys were required for each location, with the local station management team and TVM Project Manager. We collaborated with the client’s procurement team and TVM manufacturer to ensure seamless delivery and integration of the TVMs, to maintain the programme schedule, and to not cause any obstruction for customers, staff and with the day-to-day operation of the railway.

TTS undertook local electrical load testing to ensure each station’s services could accommodate the load requirements of the additional TVMs that were to be installed under this enabling works. Our trenching and civiling had to be compliant with Line Standards, and therefore clear of the red zone. TTS supplied cabling compliant to BS7671:2015 – IEE 17th Edition, and an NICEIC Installation Completion Certificate was submitted on completion of the works.
