Govia Thameslink Railway PAMs
Taylor Technology Systems undertook the installation of passenger awareness monitors (PAMs) at 37 Southern Railway, Greater Northern Railway and Thameslink Railway stations within the Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) network.
This work included Brighton station (pictured), which hosts over 16 million passenger entries and exits annually, making it the seventh busiest station in the country outside of London.
The work included the installation of power, which required local electrical load testing to ensure each station’s services could accommodate the load requirements of the additional PAMs, alongside structural analysis and other cabling to facilitate the PAMs to the scope of works to GTR standards.
We closely collaborated with GTR to ensure the safe installation of PAM equipment, while allowing the operational stations to still function.
