Taylor Technology Systems are proud to announce they have been awarded two new accreditations – ISO 27001 and CyberEssentials – in recognition of their work on information safeguarding and cyber security.

ISO 27001 is an Information Security Management Standard (ISMS), and part of the widely-recognised ISO family. ISO 27001 was developed to “provide a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an information security system”.

By achieving the ISO 27001 certification, Taylor Technology Systems has demonstrated that the business has systems in place to protect corporate information and data, both online and offline. These systems include sufficient documentation, management responsibility, internal audits, continual improvement, and corrective and preventive action across the entire business.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government assurance scheme relating to Cyber Security Controls.

Administered by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), it sets out basic security controls that must be implemented to protect and defend against internet-borne threats. Some public sector and Government contracts require businesses to have Cyber Essentials certification in order to be able to tender for the work. Taylor Technology Systems was awarded the certificate after demonstrating its business-wide commitment to cyber security.

Brian Wickes, Taylor Technology Systems’ Commercial Director, said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded these two important certifications, in recognition of all our hard work on ensuring the business is cyber secure. These awards demonstrate that we have all the relevant systems and processes in place, so that our clients can rest assured that their data will be safe with us.”
