What is BAFE?
BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Equipment) is the independent, third party certification registration organisation for the fire protection industry. The BAFE Fire Protection Industry Modular Scheme SP203 is designed for companies involved in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems. BAFE independently acknowledges a company’s competency to provide fire protection and Life Safety Systems.

How easy is it to become BAFE accredited?
In recognition of industry practice and demand, the scheme is split into four modules, System Design, Installation, Commissioning and Handover/Maintenance, to be awarded accreditation we were required to pass each module. The process for accreditation involves assessment visits and evidencing our professional competence
The standard ensures that staff and the company are continually assessed which means that you, the end customer can be assured the work has been undertaken to a professional and recognised standard.
